DELAWARE — A pharmacist with 20 years of experience is opening her own independent pharmacy in Delaware this week, with a grand opening set for Thursday, Oct. 15.
Larecia Seibert, PharmD, will open ThriveRx Health Pharmacy, an independently owned pharmacy and wellness center at 652 W. Central Ave., Suite 70. The grand opening and ribbon cutting begin at 3 p.m., in partnership with the Delaware Area Chamber of Commerce.
Seibert began her career as a pharmacy technician before becoming a pharmacist, and she said opening her own pharmacy has been a dream for years. She said she wanted a place where patients feel known and heard, with care that looks beyond the prescription itself.
ThriveRx will offer prescriptions, immunizations, medication counseling, over-the-counter medications and local delivery. It will also offer health screenings, metabolic health coaching, InBody body composition scans and other personalized wellness services.
The opening celebration will include pharmacy tours, giveaways and raffle prizes. Guests can enter to win a complimentary Thrive Metabolic Health Assessment, including an InBody scan, a one-on-one consultation and a personalized review of the results.
The new store adds an independent option for Delaware residents at a time when many communities have seen local pharmacies close or be absorbed by large chains.
