The final stop on Ohio’s county fair circuit arrives today. The 2026 Fairfield County Fair opens Oct. 11 at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds in Lancaster, running through Oct. 17 as what organizers proudly bill as “the last and the best” of Ohio’s fair season.
Gates open at noon today with free gate entry all day Sunday. For the rest of the week, gates open at 7 a.m. with general admission of $10 for ages 10 and up, while children 9 and under get in free.
The grandstand lineup is stacked for seven days. An NTPA Truck & Tractor Pull kicks things off today at 3 p.m., followed by the A-Bar Rodeo on Monday at 7 p.m., a horse pull Tuesday, the Combine Derby on Thursday at 7 p.m., and Smash-It Demolition Derbies on Friday and Saturday nights.
Beyond the grandstand, the fair brings its traditional full week of 4-H and FFA livestock shows, junior fair exhibitions, and midway rides through Saturday. For thousands of central Ohio families, it is the last chance of the year for funnel cake season.
Organizers expect strong crowds across the week, especially with Sunday’s free gate. NewsForce247 will round up fair week highlights as the events unfold in Lancaster.
