TOLEDO — The University of Toledo is opening its doors to future graduate students on Tuesday, Oct. 13, with a Graduate Programs Fair that comes with a practical perk: an application fee waiver for everyone who attends and checks in.
The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Carlson Library Room CL 1005 on UToledo’s Main Campus. Students weighing a master’s degree or another graduate or professional program can meet representatives from programs across the university, ask questions face to face and learn about ways to pay for their education.
The event is not limited to current UToledo students. University employees are encouraged to attend and explore how their employee benefits could help them continue their education, and students from other universities are welcome as well.
Attendees who register and complete the check-in steps will receive a waiver good for one graduate application for the spring, summer or fall semester through fall 2027. The waiver is non-transferable, and it does not apply to M.D. or J.D. applications or to CAS application fees. The university advises attendees to create their graduate application account with the same email address used to claim the waiver.
Registration is available through the Graduate Programs Fair website. For northwest Ohioans considering a career change or a promotion that requires an advanced degree, university officials say Tuesday’s fair is a low-pressure place to start mapping that next step.
