Briggs Danner capped his first full USAC Silver Crown season in style Saturday, holding off Tyler Roahrig in a late-race duel to win the season finale at Toledo Speedway.

Danner took control in the closing laps of the feature, slipping away when Roahrig drifted wide off turns one and two with four laps to go. Danner crossed the line 0.478 seconds ahead of Roahrig, with Chase Cabre third, Justin Grant fourth and Dakoda Armstrong fifth. Cabre had set the pace in qualifying earlier in the day.

The win was a breakthrough finish for Danner, whose campaign opened with three straight DNFs across June and July before the team found its footing. Once the car stayed together, Danner was a consistent front-runner.

With four laps to go, you could barely slide a credit card between the back of Danner’s car and Roahrig’s nose at the exit of turn four. But Roahrig’s wide exit sealed the outcome, and Danner skated away free and easy to put the race on ice.

The Saturday feature at the half-mile Toledo oval closed out the 2026 USAC Silver Crown championship schedule, delivering the kind of door-to-door finish the series is known for in front of a strong northwest Ohio crowd.
