Fifty-year-old Dr. Robert Zewe, Jr., of Erie, is facing charges including compelling prostitution, a third-degree felony; possession of criminal tools, a fifth-degree felony; and engaging in prostitution, a misdemeanor.
Details of the Arrest
Zewe was apprehended on Friday by undercover agents with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force. His arrest followed an alleged agreement to pay for sex with individuals he believed were an underage girl and her mother.
The task force, which operates under Yost’s Ohio Organized Crime Investigations Commission and is led by the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Office, is composed of multiple agencies. These agencies include the Ohio Investigative Unit, the East Palestine and Salem Police Departments, the Ohio Adult Parole Authority, the Portage County and Columbiana County Sheriff’s Offices, BCI, the Youngstown and Austintown Police Departments, the Beaver Township Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations.
