TOLEDO — Four projects in Northwest Ohio approved for state tax assistance are expected to create 319 new full-time jobs across Toledo, Findlay and Van Wert, state Rep. Michele Grim of Toledo said in a statement this week.

The projects were among eight approved by the Ohio Tax Credit Authority and JobsOhio. Two of them are in Toledo and are expected to bring 145 new jobs to the city on their own.

The largest Toledo project is P.M. Electro Auto Inc., which is expected to add 100 full-time positions. New Horizons Baking Company LLC in Toledo is expected to add 45 full-time positions.

Outside Toledo, GVS Filtration Inc. in Findlay is expected to create 74 full-time positions, and Tekni-Plex Inc. in Van Wert is expected to create 100 full-time positions. Together, the four Northwest Ohio projects account for the full 319 jobs.

Grim said the tax assistance projects will bring hundreds of jobs to the region and spur millions of dollars in investment, reinforcing Northwest Ohio’s standing as a manufacturing leader in the state.

The announcements add to a run of manufacturing and food-production investment in the Toledo area, where employers have continued to expand even as hiring has slowed in other parts of the economy.
