Lauryn Hill, P!NK, Wu-Tang Clan among first-time nominees on 2026 Rock Hall ballot

CLEVELAND — The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced its 2026 nominees Wednesday, unveiling a ballot that mixes pop power, hip-hop legacy, and R&B innovation. Among the first-time contenders are Lauryn Hill, P!NK, and the Wu-Tang Clan — three acts whose influence has stretched far beyond genre boundaries.

Joining them on this year’s slate are returning nominees including Oasis, Jane’s Addiction, Dave Matthews Band, and Mary J. Blige. The ballot features a total of 15 artists, each vying for induction into the Cleveland-based institution later this year.

Lauryn Hill, who rose to stardom with The Fugees before her Grammy-winning solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, appears on the Rock Hall ballot for the first time despite decades of critical acclaim. P!NK, known for her powerhouse vocals and genre-blending hits since the early 2000s, also earns her debut nomination. And Wu-Tang Clan — the Staten Island collective that revolutionized 1990s hip-hop with Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers) — arrives as a long-awaited first-time finalist.

Rock Hall President and CEO Greg Harris said in a statement that the 2026 nominees “represent the enduring diversity and creative spirit of rock and roll in all its forms.”

Fans can vote daily for their favorite artists in the Rock Hall’s online “fan ballot,” which will be tallied alongside official ballots sent to more than 1,000 artists, historians, and industry members. Inductees are expected to be announced in May, with the induction ceremony planned for this fall in Cleveland.
