Ohioans can expect a crisp, sunny fall weekend as a dry stretch settles in across the state, with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s and overnight lows dipping into the 40s and low 50s.

In Columbus, Thursday was sunny around 68 degrees. Friday should bring partly cloudy skies with a high near 72 and a low near 47, with only a slight chance of rain overnight.

Forecasts across the state show much the same pattern. In northwest Ohio, including Lima and Bowling Green, Friday temperatures will range from the mid-40s in the morning to the mid-60s in the afternoon under sunny skies.

The weekend looks equally pleasant, with sunny conditions expected Saturday and Sunday and highs near 69 degrees in much of the state, giving way to slightly warmer air early next week.

A full moon Friday night will add to the fall atmosphere. With the recent stretch of severe weather behind much of the state, the dry weekend offers a good window for outdoor activities, fall foliage outings, and high school football under the Friday night lights.
