The ranking, compiled in partnership with global data firm Statista, evaluates hospitals based on metrics such as patient satisfaction, clinical outcomes, peer recommendations, and adherence to international standards of care. The Clinic’s continued position among the world’s elite underscores its ongoing leadership in specialties ranging from cardiology and neurology to cancer treatment and organ transplantation.

“Quality, safety, and innovation remain at the heart of everything we do,” said Cleveland Clinic CEO and President Dr. Tom Mihaljevic in a statement. “This recognition reflects the commitment of our caregivers to providing world-class care for every patient, every day.”

Other Northeast Ohio institutions also earned spots on the 2026 list. Fairview Hospital, part of the Cleveland Clinic health system, was ranked No. 36 in the United States, while University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center placed No. 44 nationally.
