BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — A marketing manager at Bowling Green State University was arrested after police said he was found wandering through a parking lot trying to break into cars while intoxicated. Michael Bratton, 32, faces charges of disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, according to Bowling Green police.
Officers said Bratton was spotted pulling on door handles of several vehicles, setting off multiple car alarms. One person reportedly tried setting off a panic alarm on their own car after seeing him, then confronted him directly. When police approached, they said Bratton smelled of alcohol, spoke with slurred speech and had trouble forming sentences. He denied trying to open any car doors.
Police said Bratton could not provide a sober ride or point out where his own vehicle was parked in the lot, so he was taken to the Wood County Jail. A university spokesperson said the school could not provide a comment on the arrest.
