ZANESVILLE — Two fundraising events planned this month will benefit the Animal Shelter Society in Zanesville, with proceeds supporting care for animals awaiting adoption at the organization’s no-kill facility.
The first event, Music 4 Mutts, is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 14, on the Animal Shelter Society grounds at 1430 Newark Road. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with music beginning at 6 p.m.
The TDT Party Band will perform, and food trucks and Y-Bridge Brewing Co. will also be on site. A $20 donation is requested to attend, and organizers encourage guests to bring lawn chairs or blankets. Tickets are available through the shelter’s website.
The second fundraiser, Wicked Whisker, will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Taste of Ohio Wine Bourbon and Beer, 524 Main St. The ladies brunch is for guests 21 and older and will include a costume contest, with props provided.
Admission to the brunch is $30, and reservations are required. Reservations can be made by calling 740-452-1077.
Organizers say funds raised at both events will help provide food, medical care and shelter services for animals at the facility while they wait for adoption.
