CINCINNATI, Ohio — University of Cincinnati (UC) unveiled a new financial aid initiative on Wednesday aimed at expanding access to higher education for low-income students. The program, called the **Bearcat Affordability Grant**, will cover full tuition costs for qualifying students, university officials announced in a press release.

UC leaders said the new grant represents a step toward making college more accessible and reducing financial barriers that often prevent talented students from pursuing a degree. Eligible students will receive tuition-free education through a combination of institutional aid and other available financial support.

“The Bearcat Affordability Grant is about opening doors,” said a university spokesperson. “We want every student with the drive to succeed at UC to be able to attend, regardless of their family’s financial situation.”

The grant will apply to incoming and returning undergraduate students who meet income and academic criteria set by the university. UC officials noted that the initiative aligns with the institution’s broader commitment to affordability and student success.
