NewsForce247.com — As spring approaches and storm season looms, the NewsForce Storm Team is once again partnering with meteorologists statewide to launch Tornado Week, running March 9 through March 13.
The annual initiative, now a longstanding tradition for NewsForce247.com, aims to enhance severe weather preparedness among Ohio residents. For years, the NewsForce Storm Team has collaborated closely with the region’s top weather experts to educate the public on safety measures before damaging storms strike.
“Tornado Week is about awareness and action,” said a spokesperson for the NewsForce Storm Team. “By the time spring storms arrive, we want every Ohio household to know their plan—where to go, what to have, and how to stay alert.”
Each day of Tornado Week will feature in-depth coverage on storm safety fundamentals, from understanding weather watches and warnings to building emergency kits and identifying safe shelter locations. Interactive segments, live forecasts, and safety tips will be available across NewsForce247’s digital platforms and broadcast updates.
The campaign also serves as a lead-in to Severe Weather Awareness Week hosted by the National Weather Service the following week, continuing Ohio’s annual push for community readiness before the height of tornado season.
Residents are encouraged to follow NewsForce247.com and the NewsForce Storm Team on social media for daily Tornado Week updates, expert interviews, and tips to keep families safe when severe weather strikes.
