According to the Miamisburg Police Department, officers were called to a home after receiving reports of a domestic dispute. When they arrived, the suspect reportedly refused to come out and made threatening remarks, prompting officers to request assistance from the regional SWAT team.
Negotiators worked for several hours to bring the situation under control. The suspect eventually surrendered peacefully and was taken into custody without injuries to himself or responding officers.
Police later confirmed that the man now faces charges of Domestic Violence and Aggravated Menacing. Detectives said the charges stem from his actions during the domestic incident that led to the standoff.
Authorities have not released additional details about the victim, citing privacy concerns, but emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community. The investigation remains active, and further charges may be considered pending review by the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
