Sheriff Mark Warden announced that detectives executed a search warrant Monday at a home located at 509 Short Brook Road in Vincent, Belpre Township. The search was part of an investigation into the possession and distribution of child pornography.
During the operation, investigators interviewed 31-year-old Zachary Allen Clatterbuck, who admitted to possessing illegal material. A preliminary examination of his cell phone revealed explicit content involving the sexual assault of prepubescent children. Sheriff Warden stated that initial findings suggest Clatterbuck was not only viewing but also obtaining and distributing such material.
Clatterbuck was taken into custody and charged with pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor, a second-degree felony. He appeared in Marietta Municipal Court and is being held on a $50,000 bond, with a court order prohibiting contact with anyone under 18.
The investigation is ongoing. Detectives continue to conduct a forensic analysis of Clatterbuck’s electronic devices, and additional charges may be filed as evidence is reviewed.
