COLUMBUS — The Columbus Blue Jackets play their second game of the young NHL season tonight, hosting the Utah Mammoth at 7 p.m. ET at Nationwide Arena. The game streams on ESPN+.
Both clubs are coming off strong opening-night performances. Utah opened its season with a dominant 6-0 shutout of Chicago, while Columbus beat Buffalo 6-3. The 12 combined goals from the two openers suggest Saturday’s matchup could be a lively one as each team looks to build early-season momentum.
Utah arrives in Columbus with a balanced attack that put up six goals while keeping Chicago off the scoreboard entirely, a combination that will test the Blue Jackets’ defense. Columbus, meanwhile, showed its own offensive punch in the opener, scoring six times against Buffalo at home.
Tonight’s game continues a busy opening weekend for the Blue Jackets as the new season gets underway. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET, and fans can watch the game on ESPN+.
