TransDigm Group announced Monday that it has completed its $1.066 billion acquisition of Prince & Izant, the Cleveland-based maker of brazing alloys and specialty metal components.
The aerospace parts giant said it paid approximately $1.066 billion in cash, including certain tax benefits, financing the deal with cash on hand. The acquisition was first announced on July 27.
Headquartered in Cleveland, Prince & Izant is a leading designer and manufacturer of highly engineered brazing alloys used in aircraft engine fuel nozzles, rocket engines and other high cost-of-failure applications. The company also serves aeroderivative turbine, transportation, medical and industrial markets.
Prince & Izant is expected to generate about $390 million in revenue for calendar year 2026. The company employs approximately 220 people and operates manufacturing locations in Cleveland, Tinley Park, Illinois, Franksville, Wisconsin, and Bay Shore, New York. Its products span nearly 10,000 active SKUs, with most revenue derived from specialty metals including gold, silver and platinum alloys.
TransDigm said the majority of Prince & Izant’s revenue comes from the aftermarket, supporting a large global installed base. The deal adds another proprietary, high-margin business to TransDigm’s aerospace portfolio.
