Speaking at a Toledo manufacturing plant, Vance highlighted the administration’s plans to boost domestic production and invest in workforce training programs to strengthen the region’s industrial base. He praised Toledo as “a backbone of America’s manufacturing comeback,” pointing to new federal incentives aimed at reshoring jobs and supporting small businesses.
Ramaswamy, who entered the governor’s race late last year, echoed Vance’s message, pledging to “cut red tape and empower Ohio’s innovators.” He framed his campaign around expanding opportunities outside major urban centers, citing northwest Ohio as “a cornerstone for the state’s economic future.”
The visit comes as both men seek to connect with voters in a region critical to Ohio’s political landscape. Local leaders and industry representatives were expected to attend a roundtable discussion following the event.
No details were immediately available on additional stops planned for Vance and Ramaswamy later in the day.
