Fans attending the game at Peden Stadium are encouraged to bring non-perishable food donations, which will be collected at designated drop-off points near the stadium gates. All contributions will benefit local food banks and community organizations working to provide essential resources to families throughout southeastern Ohio.
This partnership highlights both organizations’ shared commitment to strengthening the Athens community. The Joe Burrow Foundation, established by Cincinnati Bengals quarterback and former Ohio University student Joe Burrow, focuses on hunger relief and mental health support in communities across Ohio and Louisiana.
Ohio Athletics officials said they hope the food drive will rally Bobcat fans to make a tangible difference. “This event is about more than football—it’s about coming together as a community to help our neighbors,” said a representative from Ohio Athletics. “We’re proud to partner with the Joe Burrow Foundation in this important effort.”
Kickoff for the Ohio vs. UMass game is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., with donation stations open beginning two hours before the game. Fans who cannot attend but wish to contribute can find information about additional drop-off locations and virtual donation options on the Ohio Athletics website.
