TROTWOOD — Armani Parker put on the finest passing show of the Greater Western Ohio Conference season on Friday night, Oct. 16, throwing five touchdown passes to lead Trotwood-Madison to a 44-6 rout of Fairborn in Week 9.
The Rams’ quarterback carved up the Skyhawks from the opening drives onward, finishing 14-of-19 passing for 271 yards. By the time the fourth quarter arrived, the only questions left were the final margin and how much of Parker’s night would survive on the stat sheet.
Two of Parker’s five touchdown throws went to Jamir Owens, who finished with three catches for 76 yards and the two scores. The rest of the damage was spread around a deep Rams receiving corps that Fairborn’s secondary simply could not run with for four quarters.
On the ground, Jayden Hardy-Scott gave Trotwood balance with 15 carries for 96 yards and a touchdown, keeping the Skyhawks’ defense honest whenever it tried to drop extra defenders into coverage against Parker.
The matchup had drawn attention because the two GWOC rivals have produced some of the league’s most entertaining games in recent seasons, and Fairborn arrived hoping its passing game could keep pace score for score. For one quarter, it did. Then Parker’s second and third touchdown passes landed in quick succession, the Rams’ defense forced Fairborn off the field twice in a row, and a game that had looked like a shootout turned into a runaway before halftime.
Defensively, the Rams were just as thorough. Fairborn managed only six points all night, and its passing game never found a rhythm against a Trotwood front that controlled the line of scrimmage. Skyhawks quarterback Aiden Cavin completed 11 of 18 passes in the loss.
The 38-point win is the latest statement from a Trotwood-Madison program that has built its identity on speed and offensive firepower, and Friday’s performance — nearly 300 passing yards, five scoring throws, a rushing touchdown for balance — was that identity at full strength.
Trotwood-Madison closes the regular season at home next Friday, Oct. 23, against West Carrollton. Fairborn also finishes at home that night, hosting Stebbins, as both teams play their Week 10 finales before the OHSAA playoff pairings are set.
