MASON — The Lindner Center of Hope issued a public denial Sunday after a claim surfaced that Texas Senate candidate James Talarico had received treatment at the Mason mental health facility.
In a social media post Sunday, the center wrote: “Representative James Talarico has never received treatment from Lindner Center of Hope.” Talarico responded to the center’s post, writing, “I’ve never even been to Ohio.”
The facility did not say who originated the claim or where it first appeared. The exchange was reported Monday as Talarico’s denial spread alongside the center’s statement.
The Lindner Center of Hope is a mental health treatment facility in Mason founded in 2008 by Cincinnati businessman Craig Lindner and his wife Frances. The Lindner family founded the United Dairy Farmers convenience store chain, and Craig Lindner and his brother Carl Lindner III serve as co-CEOs of American Financial Group, the downtown Cincinnati insurance company.
NewsForce247 will update this story if either party releases further information about the origin of the claim.
