COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets will spotlight inclusion and community outreach on March 3 with their annual “Hockey Is For Everyone” night at Nationwide Arena, featuring a Pride Ticket Package and fundraising efforts for Stonewall Columbus.
The event is part of the National Hockey League’s ongoing “Hockey Is For Everyone” initiative, which promotes diversity, equality, and accessibility within the sport. The Blue Jackets said this year’s celebration aims to highlight the LGBTQ+ community and raise awareness for organizations advocating inclusion across Central Ohio.
Fans can purchase a Pride Ticket Package that includes a ticket to the game and an exclusive Blue Jackets Pride-themed item. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Stonewall Columbus, a local nonprofit that serves as a hub for LGBTQ+ programs, resources, and support.
“Our organization is proud to stand behind the message that hockey truly is for everyone,” Blue Jackets vice president of community development and foundations Katie Matney said in a statement. “We’re excited to bring fans together in a night of unity and celebration while supporting an important partner in Stonewall Columbus.”
The evening will include themed in-arena features, video tributes, and community recognitions before the Blue Jackets face off against the visiting opponent. Fans attending are encouraged to wear Pride colors and participate in social media activities highlighting inclusion within the sport.
“Hockey has the power to unite people, and events like this help ensure everyone feels welcome in the game,” Matney said.
Tickets and more information about the Pride Ticket Package are available on the Blue Jackets’ official website.
