The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and the Mount Vernon City Police Department responded to a call reporting shots fired and a possible shooting on Christmas Day.
The incident occurred at State Street in Brinkhaven, according to the county’s Facebook. Upon arrival at the scene, a brief barricade situation occurred, resulting in three individuals being detained.
Major Crimes Detectives were at the scene, where a search of the residence led to the seizure of narcotics and weapons.
Three individuals were arrested and jailed.
Authorities confirmed that shots had been fired, but no one was injured in the incident.
